Hungarian Seed Association
Our primary tasks include developing proposals related to the sector, acquiring, processing, and disseminating information, as well as exercising our legally established rights, fulfilling our obligations, and enforcing legally mandated obligations within the sector. Additionally, VSZT is tasked with coordinating the production and market activities of plant breeders, seed propagators, processors, and distributors at a national level, and participating in the work of governmental administrative bodies and in the preparation of decisions.

Our mission
Building on centuries-old traditions, accumulated expertise, and Hungary's exceptional natural resources, our seed sector strives to enhance the competitiveness of sustainable agricultural production. As a regional center, we are dedicated to breeding varieties that cater to both national and international market demands, and to producing and distributing top-quality seeds that comply with the highest standards of food safety.
Membership
Our association encompasses international companies active globally, large-scale agricultural enterprises, institutions specializing in agricultural research and plant breeding, and a considerable number of private farms. Beyond the presidency, various sections represent the individual agricultural sectors. The VSZT is a non-profit organization open to both individuals and legal entities involved in the seed production sector.

Our vision
As the seed production and breeding hub of the Central-Eastern European region, the Hungarian seed industry is committed to producing high-quality seeds, a vital component for the development of rural areas and agricultural production. We, the participants in the Hungarian seed industry, are dedicated to advancing scientific frontiers and developing solutions that promise a healthy, sustainable environment for future generations. Through broadening the scope of agricultural production, incorporating an increasing array of species and varieties into cultivation, and preserving natural habitats, we significantly contribute to the conservation of our planet's biological diversity.
We are committed to promoting and enhancing the international relations of our members and fostering connections between the Hungarian seed industry and professionals worldwide. Our primary objective is to advocate for the use of quality seeds.

A kelet- közép európai régió vetőmag-előállító és nemesítő központjaként működő magyar vetőmagágazat, termelői számára állít elő kiváló minőségű vetőmagot, amely a vidék és ezen belül a mezőgazdasági termelés fejlődésének kulcsa.
Tudományos megoldások
Mi, a magyar vetőmagipar szereplői a tudomány határait feszegetve olyan megoldásokon dolgozunk, amely egészséges, fenntartható környezetet biztosít a jövő generációinak.
Lehetőségek kiszélesítése
A mezőgazdasági termelés lehetőségeinek kiszélesítésével, egyre több faj és fajta termesztésbe vonásával, a természetes élőhelyek megőrzésével nagymértékben hozzájárulunk földünk biológiai sokféleségének megőrzéséhez.
Küldetésünk
A magyar vetőmagágazat évszázados hagyományokra, a felhalmozott szaktudásra és a kiemelkedő magyar természeti adottságokra építve nyújt innovatív integrált megoldásokat a fenntartható mezőgazdasági termelés versenyképességének növelése érdekében.
Célunk, hogy regionális központként, a nemzeti és nemzetközi piaci igényeknek megfelelő fajtákat nemesítsünk, csúcsminőségű vetőmagokat állítsunk elő és forgalmazzunk a legmagasabb élelmiszerbiztonsági elvárásoknak megfelelően.
